NKorea warns of nuclear war amid rising tensions

The president of South Korea wanted his top security officials Sunday to deal with new North Korean warnings of a nuclear war on the eve of his U.S. visit. The president will travel to washington d.c. on monday with talks with presiden obama that will focus on North Korea's nuclear and missle program. The trip comes when North Korea's Foreign Ministry had threatened war with any country that stops its ships on the high seas under new sanctions approved by the U.N. Security Council in response to its May 25 nuclear test. I feel that North Korea is very capable of having weapons because they see the USA as a threat and trying to knock down and invade its regime.

  1. very scary time right now with N.Korea, their testing of nuclear weapons, and the effects it will have the longer it takes to put a stop to all this nonsense!! Being a father of a 2 1/2 year old, i wonder just what kind of world she will be living in when she is an adult. just a very scary time.

  2. well after reading unsilent majority and this article about nkorea it real makes you wake up. Living in a naive state, you dont really take time to realize what is going on in the world around you. Nkorea testing weapons, allows me to know that these are very dangerous times.

  3. I agree with Lundyn. It really does wake you up and take notice of whats going on around the world. Sometimes you can get stuck in your own bubble. Likewise I guess sometimes you think ifs something happening somehwere like in N. Korea.."we'll its over there so I dont have to worry about it." The reality is that what other nations do affects us.

  4. It is certainly a scary time that we all live in. No one should grow up in fear of a nuclear attack. I think that if they are seriously considering a nuclear attack that tells me that North Korea is a bunch of cowards and I don't think that the US should take this matter lightly.

  7. very serious indeed. we all lived through the cold war of the 80's, but now that i'm older, this n.korea situation for some reason is a bit more serious. maybee because i don't want to relive that time of tension.
